to offer worm compost for sale at The Green Marketplace. What is worm compost? Worm compost, or vermicompost, is the
end-product of the breakdown of organic matter by some species of earthworm. Basically worms eat vegetable matter and other
organic materials, then excrete castings, the end product. Vermicompost is a nutrient-rich, natural fertilizer and soil conditioner
that helps to maintain a healthy microbiotic environment for plants to grow in. It can be tilled into beds, added into
containers, and even used as a seed starting media. A great alternative to traditional chemical slow-release fertilizer.
